MCES ACTIVITIES

Mitchell County School System is proud to announce that Mitchell County Elementary School is a 2023-2024 National Beta School of Merit. The school earned this recognition by offering National Beta to all eligible grades on their campus.

Mitchell County Elementary School received special recognition for reaching 25 years of accreditation by Cognia. A Cognia representative visited the school to present a banner and framed certificate, which will be proudly displayed in our building!

With a continued focus on school improvement, MCES has demonstrated its commitment to ensuring students meet their maximum potential! We could not do this without our dedicated faculty, students, district leaders, and community members! We will continue to soar at MCES!

On August 4, the Order of Eastern Star, Wisteria Chapter #256, treated the staff members at Mitchell County Elementary School in Baconton, with a Sweet Treat as they end their First Week of School!!! MCES is thankful for its community partnerships!

Ms. Jones has been the Assistant Principal at MCES for the past three years and was previously an Instructional Coach for the Mitchell County School System.

All students enrolled in the primary school, elementary school, and middle school received their TCM Summer Backpacks on Thursday, May 18. Within the backpacks, students have resources and books correlated to the Georgia Standards of Excellence. Parents, please encourage your children to continue to read and to develop a love for reading over the summer!
